Kevin Mooney achieved the feat in 2014 (13) and 2015 (11) and Brett Cecil did it in 2006 (13).
Murphy's tenth save made him just the third player in Maryland history to reach double digit saves in a season. Freshman Benjamin Cowles has reached base in 10 straight games. Bednar has a hit in 10 straight games, the longest streak of his career. Bednar is the first Maryland player to reach 50 RBIs since 2015 when Brandon Lowe and Jose Cuas both notched 53. Bednar has been incredible this season and reached another milestone Tuesday, notching his 50 th RBI. Senior closer John Murphy allowed a run in the ninth, but closed out the game for his tenth save of the season. Lee gave the Terps some insurance with a solo homer, his fourth of the year, in the ninth. Senior AJ Lee used an infield single to plate Chris Alleyne before Bednar hit his tenth homer of the year to left field. 
After James Madison grabbed the lead right back in the sixth with two runs, the Terps responded with three more in the seventh. The Terps tied the ballgame in the sixth on a Michael Pineiro double off the right field wall that plated Bednar and Taylor Wright. 
Maryland got a pair of solid relief outings from right-hander Elliott Zoellner (2.0 IP, 2 K, 0 H) and right-hander Mark DiLuia (1.0 IP, 2 K, 0 H) to keep the deficit at 2-0.Left-hander Drew Wilden started the game and gave up a pair of unearned runs after passed balls allowed runners to advance in consecutive innings and eventually score.Maryland scored their six runs on 11 hits and used seven pitchers to get the 27 outs. Sophomore Randy Bednar continued his fantastic season, notching three hits including a two-run homer that gave the Terps the lead for good in the seventh.– The Maryland baseball team (25-27, 9-12 Big Ten) came from behind and won 6-5 over James Madison (30-22, 10-11 CAA) at Eagle Field Tuesday night.
